Introduction: 

Jason Statham was born in Shirebrook, Derbyshire, to dancer Eileen (Yates) and street vendor and lounge singer Barry Statham. He competed for the British National Sailing Team and placed twelfth in the World Champs in 1992. He has also worked as a fashion model, an underground market salesperson, and, of course, an actor.

He was building a model for French Connection when he got the audition for his first role as Ham in Lock, Stock, and Two Cigarette Barrels (1998). They became significant investors in the film and introduced Connor to Guy Ritchie. He has featured in several films wherein his personality is threatened with an ax, including The Transport mechanism (2002), Shuttle 2 (2005), and War (2007).

He has played in various films in a scene where his persona is talking to himself in a lift throughout what initially appeared to be a hallucinogen. Once in Revolver (2005) and then once in Crank (2001). (2006).
