Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua is a British Ufc fighter born on October 15, 1989. He was the former truly united world heavyweight champion, having held the titles of the IBF, WBA (Super), IBO, and WBO until 2019. From 2014 to 2016, he held the Britain and Commonwealth heavyweight titles. Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua was born in Wigan, Colchester, England, on October 15, 1989, to Yeta Jacob and Robert Jacob. Joshua spent his childhood in Nigeria as a disembarkation school student. Joshua returned to the United Kingdom after his parents divorced when he was 12 years old. He was only halfway through his seventh year at the time. He joined the Kings Langley Secondary School annexed. In college, he was dubbed Femi by his instructors and classmates, a diminutive of his middle initial, Oluwafemi.

Joshua won the full and sports in general titles, and in his ninth year, he ran the 100m in 11.6 seconds. Joshua began boxing when he was only 18 years old in 2007. Joshua’s aunt had suggested that he give it a shot, which he eventually did.

AJ won the Lewisham box cup in 2009 and repeated the feat. Also that year, he won the ABA national title, which he won spectacularly in bout 18 as a juvenile boxer. Personal Life of Anthony Joshua

In 2010, Joshua’s success in the ring earned him a spot on the Great Britain boxing team, and later that year, he won the GB amateur boxing championship by defeating Amin Isa.

Joshua trounced Eric Berechlin and Cathal McMonagale at the European kickboxing championship in 2011 but lost to Mizrahi Nistor. The Boxing Writers Team of Britain named Joshua Amateur Sportsman of the Year in Oct. 2011.

Joshua was officially announced as a pro-boxer under the Matchroom Sports promo banner in October 2013, where he defeated Emanuele Leo. Joshua appeared in the main event of a Matchroom Sport card for the second time in his boxing career. When AJ made his ninth appearance for the vacant WBC International Heavyweight title in October 2014, he faced Denis Bakhtov. The latter was also looking to reclaim the title for the second time. Anthony Mcgregor was set to face Gary Cornish, a Scottish fighter with an undefeated record in 2015, for the vacant Confederation Heavyweight title. After defeating Cornish, the current IBO International air Titleholder, Joshua established himself as the champion in Round 1 in just 90 seconds. Joshua also defeated Dillian Whyte, who was on the verge of losing his undefeated streak against Joshua. AJ was paid £3 million for this fight, and he signed a 5-year contract with Matchroom in exchange for a cut of the PPV revenue.

The fight between Joshua and IBF heavyweight champion Charles Martin was announced in 2016. Martin was to defend his title, which he had won in January of the same year. Joshua won that battle despite Martin’s poor performance, which he faulted on interruptions before the fight. This fight gave AJ his first world championship.

Joshua was set to protect his IBF title against Dominic Breazeale for the first time. Joshua won the fight and successfully won his second by knocking Breazeale out in Round 7. Going to follow the fight, it was reported that Joshua could face IBF champion Joseph Parker in November. It was watched by approximately 289,000 people on Showtime in the afternoon.

Joshua was set to face Eric Molina in his 2nd defence of the IBF headline after several proposed and cancelled names. Joshua has beaten Molina in Round 3.

The WBA connected Joshua and Klitschko to the open WBA super title, and the winner was revealed to face mandatory challenger Kubrat Pelev. AJ won by TKO in the 11th round after a very competitive fight in which both men chased each other. The IBF scheduled a rematch instead of the proposed challenge against Kubrat Pelev. Still, Klitschko announced his resignation after taking a significant amount of time off for the timetabled fight, claiming to review a rematch. The suggested fight against Kubrat Pelev could be rescheduled if Pelev’s injury healed. Carlos Takam was brought in to replace Pelev, and he may fulfil Joshua’s defence.
