Product Features for Customers to Decide

  • Reliability

Reliability is being able to consistently deliver at all time what the customer needs and when the customer expects it.

Reliability helps business to look at the market through the eyes of the customer.

Customers expect companies to deliver products that will be reliable to them when they need them and not dysfunctional product that will let them down when they need them most.

Thus, companies should aim at making their product features more reliable to the consumers when they need them and be the top priority in terms of features since you can not compare the beauty of a product to its reliability.

  • Responsiveness

Responsiveness is the measure of how fast a product is of use to the the customer.

Let’s say for example a new phone that is very functional and fast in the beginning days of usage but with time it loses it responsiveness due to lack some enhanced features compared to another type of phone bought on the same date but continues to show the same type of responsiveness.

These two phones might have differences in features and perhaps the slowest one might be very beautiful to look at compared to the responsive one.

Thus, showing that both brands had to forego certain features for reason only known to them and their customers segments.

  • Cost

The features in a product will adversely affect the product cost depending on the customers need and wants.

Some customers will forego the beauty of a product to look at the details of a product.

Most products that come with more decoration tend to be cheaper but with less usability features.

Though they to have consumers who use them for small jobs that they can do and at least for their cheaper prices.

With more functionality features this product come at a cost and most are not vividly decorated but their usability features are higher and are built for heavy tasks.

  • Security Versus Ease of use

Customers’ needs and wants vary among different consumers.

In the example of security versus ease-of-use features there is a difference between these two users that vary in regards to their wants.

One consumer might be dealing with private data that he is not allowed to shared to the public or himself wouldn’t want to risk it going to the public domain. This user will find a product with enhanced security features suitable for him as compared to another user who does not see the use of the security details and prefers ease of use.
