Covid-19 has massively restructured the global economy. Internal changes played a vital role in making and breaking the overall well-being of nations across the world.
However, many countries were not as affected or actually recovered very well and are now deemed as home to the most privileged people in the world.
A study was conducted, where data from 44 nations worldwide were examined to select the countries with the luckiest people.
The factors to determine the luckiest people
- Financial strength: The financial stability and wealth of a country can be measured by its GDP (growth domestic product), which determines the government’s value of products and services. The factors considered in this study to measure a country’s finances include disposable income per capita, median wealth, number of millionaires and the population of the country.
- Freedom of Choice: Freedom is a privilege a rare few nations have. The factors taken into consideration under this category include human rights, gender equality, life satisfaction, and freedom to travel.
- Safety and health: Population density, homicide risk, road safety, life expectancy, air pollution and social cohesion were taken into consideration for this factor.
- Education and employment opportunities: Education is another factor that is very important for any country to grow alongside career prospects. Sub factors studied under this category included youth unemployment, long-term unemployment, income inequality, work environment quality, social mobility, and GDP per capita.
