You can get quite good 2nd vocal mics from Tandy or Maplin mail-order for about £20 and a mini mixer for bit more which work the plug the output into the line-in on the Fostex.
Re: Bristol area gigs the Louisianna have a web site I think, so try that... he normally pays a bit for support slots but gets hundreds of requests for gigs, maybe try The Engineer's Apprentice or the Golden Lion at Gloucester Road, the big one is the Fleece and Firkin in Thomas Street but they mostly have touring bands or local try-out nights. Anyway good luck and let me know if I can help any more.,,, peace etc. Steve H-J
Hey man like your stuff on myspace, was that all live recorded? Some of the quality on vocal bit rough, maybe you need an engineer? or was it analogue recording on old gear? I used to do live and studio sound for a living about 20 years ago but my son now records his stuff with loads of effects plus keyboard on this PC.
Anyway good luck and keep on keepin on; try gettin some gigs here abouts maybe UWE student union at St.Matthias College or look on the Venue (Bristol) website and try Lousitania pub...Peace... oneday
