About Me:
One of the originals....
still hangin in there, just about.
The hair's still growing too but gettin a bit thin on top now!
Favorite Music:
Hendrix and quite a few other dead people.... recently I've been listening to the John Mayer live album:- TRY, Page and Plant's:- Walking into Clarksdale and Joe Bonamassa's:- Sloe Gin; I know none of these are new but hey what can I say.... they rock! Also I love everything Sunny Landreth has ever played, his own records are great and he's probably the "go-to-man" if you want a great slide guitarist - and wow what a sound, so creamy!!
On the music front my friend got me ticket to see Joe Bonamassa(?); I have CD's but never managed to see him when he's toured before. Anybody seen the guy live?

New Year... New Album

I know it's been a very long time since I posted anything to this blog but ther hasn't been any serious news until around Christmas time and I only got the latest update yesterday.
Well it seems that the new album has been delayed even further by the already arranged re-mix and a new cover design, photo-shoots, promotion campaign and tour scheduling :- all of which will take months; so proviosional (very provi's) release is now pencilled-in for end of APRIL.
This news wil be press released event… Continue

Miraculous happening, Joe & Sam are Alive!!!

News from London Town... two out of three of the guys do read the pages on here, once every 3 monthes anyway!!!
Both seem well, busy and quite happy, except with Independiente sitting on the album 'til autumn.
Soon they'll all return to gigging but meanwhile Sam's Jazz gigs in London are going well apparently
And Joe's enjoying teachng etc.and domestic bliss!!

So my endeavours have been rewarded,

The guitar tabs for the song. I can only work out a small part of it. Is there a book or something?

Steve, you seem well connected. Do you know where I can get hold of a tab for Barefoot Dancing (if such a thing exists)?

Yeah I saw them in Marlborough in... crikey 2006 maybe, possibly early 2007. They did a gig at the record store Soundknowledge there. It was a cracking show, but it took me 2 years to look up the website...

Hi Steve.. Wow how strange, i havnt been on this page for a really long time and when I check it, I see a message from you 3 hours ago..!
Im living in london now and things are going along fine, doing bits and peices of teaching and session type gigs... working for a charity called live music now with my girlfriend singing, and me playing spanish guitar, we go to care homes hospitals things like that and brighten up people with all kinds of diabilities and problems.. its a good thing to do.

So, we recorded our second album, and really happy with it, but as you may have guessed things are painfully slow with our record company so were holding out with whatever we can do to keep going in the meantime..
i want to get the music out there and tour again, but its all a bit out of my hands.. shame really that its not simple.
That little guitar is probably at the studio near Bradford on avon, ill have to check it out when i go there next... im afraid i dont play it that often, but I think i used it for something on our album.. cant remember what it was though!
Im happy to say ive had a Hendrix revival in the last month. Just started to listen again to his music and like the first time... got blown away!
I also read the biography by David Henderson, which helped me go into the whole crazy scene of his life. I read it very quickly and in general id say its a good read.
Just today i watched the 1970 Hawaii Rainbow bridge concert (skipping through all the 'space people' footage and hippies out of their minds, straight to the gig..)
So apart from a bit of Hendrix revival going on im really into spanish guitar playing, working of widening my pallete of techniques and ability. There really is no-one who competes with Paco de Lucia in that world.. well there are several guys who are incredible but he seems to be everyones favourite. So im trying to learn some stuff by him.
Yeah.. anyway good to be in contact with you, and really hope to see you at a gig when we get going with this second album..

Thanks a lot with the help. I'll definitely look into it and arrange for my band to play some gigs there.

Yeah it was just a built in mic on my fostex recorder. Everytime I've recorded with it the vocals come out really rough. We've just not been able to afford a serious demo as promoters in London rarely pay bands as they expect unsigned bands to bring at least 30 people, which is pretty ridiculous considering they're the ones calling themselves promoters. I'll check out those venues in Bristol, could be good.
