Well its been a long time but just noticed this thread and don't know if anybody on here now knows me but here goes:- recently bin listenin to... Bex Marshall (brilliant!), Rita Lynch; the Travelling Band (from Manchester, UK answer to CSN&Y), Dave Arcari (from Glasgow), Girl in a Thunderbolt (from Norwich,on Myspace), Thread (Ruth Royall and co. from Bristol) and Aynsley Lister. On older stuff... early Fleetwood Mac, Blue Aeroplanes, Chris Jagger Band, Skunk Anansie and Frankie BB Connelly. Big assortment really but that's me kinda catholic tastes!!
Roy Harper, what a genious
I wouldn't quiite say the Travelling Band are our answer to CSNY... they're good though. I know their ex violinist...

R.E.M. - Pretty Persuasion, the Triffids - Life of Crime
It was a cheap way of giving them a handle,I know, but they do 4 part harmonies and stuff with accoustic guitars and pretend Hammond organ so a bit like Deja Vu anyway they're great live. So since then I've been listening to more live stuff from Miles Huntand Erica Knowles to Andy White; Catfish Keith to Pork Chop and Wilfredo;and last night the wonderful Kid Carpet, but I havent bought any new albums lately just old ones by Frank Zappa,Jimi Hendrix,Rory Gallagher and Jerry Jeff Walker from the 70's.
just got the new local natives cd, 'Gorilla Manor' really really good, Marina and the Diamonds is good as well
