Holidays

So in an attempt to get some life into the new forum which isn't spam (anybody checked that blogs area lately?), is anybody heading off anywhere on holiday this summer?

Permalink Reply by Alan Painter on July 25, 2009 at 4:59pm: good effort david, what blogs is it that you be talking about?? glasto was my holiday, but i am heading for the lakes in september which couldnt come soon enough with work at the moment, loads of pressure as i'm designing the roof on the olymoic swimming pool which is massive and very complicated. still i hope to complete it before 2012 eh.

Seriously tho' you need money to go on holiday in the literal sense and some of us never have any of that commodity. I believe you can go on holiday in yr mind by changing how ya think about where you are and what you're doin now. Also, personally, I'm really busy doin research for an MA in history at present and have two deadlines in 2 weeks time!!! Anyway I will be taking a short trip to Norwich in the next few days to continue my research, even if it's only for couple of days it will be a change of scene. As for music stuff have been doin roadie duties for Kirris Riviere Blues band (check their Myspace) inc. driving them to Lancaster for Blues Club gig last Friday, which was great fun but v.tiring. Hope to be seeing them again tonight at Tantric Jazz Cafe in Bristol. Also doin some gigs at The Thunderbolt music bar in Totterdown with various blues acts on most Tuesdays (as the promoter and sound-man)
